AGU recently updated our Photography and Social Media Guidelines. Beginning with Fall Meeting 2018, photography for personal use is permitted throughout AGU meeting spaces – including scientific sessions – unless the presenter has exercised the option to be excluded.
Personal use includes social media and note-taking as well as celebrating moments or events. Presenters can opt out by displaying a digital “No Photo” image that AGU is providing on their poster or slides. For the poster hall we will also have printed cards with the “No Photo” image available so that presenters can affix it next to their poster.
