The town hall will present NOAA Drought Task Force research activities to advance the understanding, monitoring, and prediction of North American drought. This coordinated research initiative is an important contribution to the development of the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) and the future Global Drought Information System (GDIS). Drought Task Force progress and plans will be discussed in the context of NIDIS and GDIS. The town hall is an opportunity for scientists, stakeholders of drought research, and program representatives from other agencies to provide feedback on Drought Task Force research activities and provide input on future directions.
