This town hall is open to all¬†Earth and space¬†scientists interested in preserving and sustaining scientific software used in production of results published in academic journals. The town hall will act as a “quick-fire” hack session discussing and bringing together best practices employed in all areas of geoscience that are geared to producing 100% open, reproducible science. Also presented at this town hall will be results of a survey distributed to peers and journal editors in autumn 2014 to estimate current levels of scrutiny applied to data and model output during the peer-review process.
