This town hall is open to allĀ Earth and spaceĀ scientists interested in preserving and sustaining scientific software used in production of results published in academic journals. The town hall will act as a “quick-fire” hack session discussing and bringing together best practices employed in all areas of geoscience that are geared to producing 100% open, reproducible science. Also presented at this town hall will be results of a survey distributed to peers and journal editors in autumn 2014 to estimate current levels of scrutiny applied to data and model output during the peer-review process.
