How Congress works (or doesn’t work) may seem complex and opaque. Fortunately, this can be overcome with a little time spent learning about the history of the institution and its basic mechanics. More discouraging and pervasive is the myth that shaping policy is beyond the reach of individuals outside the Beltway, and that ordinary citizens are powerless in the face of special interests and partisan politics. This could not be further from the truth.

Spend an hour learning the ins and outs from experts on how Congress works and (more importantly) how you can make a real, tangible, and impactful difference in policy outcomes.
