The NASA DEVELOP National Program builds capacity in both individuals and end-user organizations to use Earth observations in decision making. This dual capacity building model invests ownership of project objectives fully in participants by working with them to propose, implement and lead ambitious projects with aggressive schedules and a strong emphasis on partner engagement.

DEVELOP offers over 350 research opportunities a year and is open to those 18 and older, including students, recent graduates, and early and transitioning career professionals. Participants, in partnership with decision makers, annually conduct approximately 80 projects focused on a spectrum of topics such as ecological health and conservation, disaster response, water management, and agricultural monitoring. This presentation will give an overview of the program, its benefits, and how to get involved.
