Registration Rates for Attendees from Tier 1 and 2 Countries
Discounted registration rates are available to attendees from countries classified by the World Bank as low-income (Tier 1) and lower-middle-income (Tier 2) economies. These income classifications are updated each year on 1 July. Please refer to the World Bank’s website for information on their classification system and for the latest list of Tier 1 and 2 countries. Note: Attendees must currently reside in a low-income or lower-middle-income country in order to be eligible to receive the registration rate.
By 12 November, registered attendees may purchase guest passes at $40 each. After 12 November, guest passes are $55. A guest is a spouse, friend, or adult child (18 years old and older) who is not working in a geophysical sciences-related occupation or field. A colleague or associate working in a related geophysical sciences field or studying geophysics in school may not be registered and attend as a guest. Registered guests may not attend the scientific sessions; however, they may visit the Exhibit Hall and attend the Ice Breaker, Honors Ceremony, and all keynote lectures. Guests may also purchase tickets to social events, including the Honors Banquet, at the advertised rates.
Written notification of registration cancelations must be emailed. Registration cancellations received by 12 November 2015 will receive a complete refund. Cancelations received between 13 and 19 November 2015 will have a $50 processing fee deducted from their refund. No refunds will be issued for registrations or ticketed events canceled after 19 November 2015.
