TH33G. Access to NASA Earth Observations and Earth Science Information: Current Status and an Invitation to Discuss Future Steps

15 December 2014, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Moscone West - Room 2009

Event Type:

Town Hall

Researchers, educators, technicians, decision makers, and the public alike often encourage NASA to make data holdings easier to access, use, and understand. NASA’s Earth Science Division improves online interfaces to satellite and aircraft data continually and provides training/workforce development programs. NASA participates in the Big Earth Data Initiative and Climate Data Initiative to improve access, management, and interoperability of Earth Observation data, and to leverage Federal data toward climate resilience. This town hall will introduce these improvements and capacity-building offerings and gather audience feedback on challenges/successes in accessing Earth Science data. NASA incorporates user feedback into data access enhancements and new features.
