Event Type:

Town Hall

The United States Group on Earth Observations (USGEO) was established to (1) assess federal Earth observation activities; (2) foster improved data management and interoperability; and (3) engage international stakeholders through the international Group on Earth Observation. The results of the first triennial assessment of the Federal Earth observation enterprise, provided the basis for the first-ever U.S. National Plan for Civil Earth Observations, released in July 2014. Leadership from the USGEO Program will discuss the subcommittee’s broader goals, organization, and activities, highlights from the National Plan, and the current status of the ongoing second Earth Observations Assessment.
