Victoria Forlini, Assistant Director of Publications at AGU, will be discussing AGU publications data policy from a preparation and advocacy standpoint. Also learn about the coalition of earth and space science societies, funders, and repositories, moving toward more consistent standards. Mary Warner, Assistant Director of Publications at AGU, will be discussing increased functionality of the AGU portal on Wiley Online Library, including enhanced searching, special collections, and an enriched mobile environment. Tuesday, 16 December 3:00PM – 4:45PM Development Multipurpose Room, Moscone South: Mezzanine, Room 250 San Francisco Geoscapes Join geologist, Dr. John Karachewski (EPA), in discovering the complex and interesting geology of San Francisco and adjacent areas. This scenic slide show will highlight the beautiful and surprising geologic landscapes (geoscapes) and rocks in the area. John will discuss plate tectonics, glacial cycles and flooding of San Francisco Bay, and the 1906 earthquake. Tuesday, 16 December 9:15AM – 10:30PM Development Multipurpose Room, Moscone South: Mezzanine, Room 250 Navigating the New Eos Take a guided tour of the new online Eos website with Barb Richman, Eos Editor in Chief, and Dana Rehm, Director of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement at AGU. You’ll also learn about what’s in store for Eos in the coming year. Wednesday, 17 December 2:30PM – 3:30PM Development Multipurpose Room, Moscone South: Mezzanine, Room 250 Science Policy with the AGU Congressional Fellows Join Laura Sherman and Chuck Podolak, the 2014 AGU Congressional Fellows, to discuss their experiences in the science policy on the Hill.
