I was hoping to meet researchers for a potential graduate position (this is my first AGU meeting). Any tips on how to to go about meeting people? I read one article that suggested making cheap information cards with my picture on them so people would remember. I thought this was a little forward, any thoughts?
How can I get an invitation letter for the Fall Meeting for U.S. Visa application purpose prior to registration and paying the fees?
We’ll be sending out Letters of Invitation to all non-US presenters by 20 August.
i had registered forthe meeting as well as the housing. dont know when i will be sent invitation letter as well as the hotel reservation print out so as to use it for visa procession. please can someone help out on how i will go about it?
Your Letter of Invitation will be emailed by Friday, 20 August. You can also view your housing/registration confirmation by logging into your account on the Housing site at: http://registration3.experientevent.com/showagu121/default.aspx?link=Attendee
I had registered for the meeting, now I want to submit abstract.
when I click the submit abstract and enter the user ID and password.
It couldn’t login correctly, why?

Please check alternate emails to retrieve your password. If you continue to encounter problems, please contact the ScholarOne help line using the contact information provided.
Make your hotel reservation for the entire week as soon as possible after the hotel options are posted online. It only takes a few minutes, and you are generally able to cancel or shorten the reservation without penalty.

Does any one know how long the hotel keeps the reservation before deducting the amount from credit card?

Your credit card information is sent to your hotel. They’ll have it on-file, but they won’t charge it until you check-in.

Plan now because planning ahead of time makes u avoid some ‘had i knowns’.will like to be there anyway.
Plan your schedule ahead of time and make yourself familiar with the different venues the first day you get there.
Look at last year’s attendee tips, as there was lots of good stuff in there.
