Editors’ Resource Center
The Editors’ Resource Center serves as the Fall Meeting on-site info hub where AGU Editors and Associate Editors may relax, get a cup of coffee, catch up on e-mail, or hold informal meetings. While there, Editors and Associate Editors will experience an environment conducive to collaboration with their counterparts on other AGU journals. It is also where they can share approaches to various editorial challenges and develop new collegial relationships. Internet/WiFi connection, a computer, and a printer will be available.
Editors’ Dinner and Editorial Board Luncheons
The Editors’ Dinner will be held at The Westin St. Francis Hotel on Monday, 5 December. This event is by invitation only.
The Editorial Boards for each journal and Eos will hold luncheons throughout the week. These events are by invitation only.
Author Resource Center
The Authors Resource Center serves as the Fall Meeting on-site info hub to provide authors with information about publishing their papers in AGU publications.
The Author Resource Center is sponsoring several seminars covering Your Paper A-Z, including the submission and production process, preparing graphics, the differences between cmyk and rgb figures, and copyediting tips and advice.
These seminars will be held as luncheons. Tickets are provided at no cost and are available on a limited basis from the Author Resource Center.
“A Good Scientific Paper” Seminar

This seminar, led by Renyi Zhang, an editor of the Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmosphere, will take authors through the proper structure of an article, tips on what can be done to speed the publication process, and help for writers to make their articles more easily citable.
The Sublime Pleasures of Reviewing Manuscripts

This lively discussion with Dr. Alan Robock, editor of Reviews of Geophysics, will provide you with reasons, motivations, incentives, encouragement, delights and opportunities that will prepare and stimulate you to accept with pleasure, a request asking you to review yet-another journal manuscript.
The Books Board will hold a luncheon for its members. This event is by invitation only.
